| Self centring chucks - SELF-CENTRING INCLINED PLANES CHUCKS - CW TWO JAWS | | Self-centring double acting recessed chucks powered by a pneumatic or hydraulic system.
Description and application of the CW chuck.
The CW chuck, also known as recessed, differs from the MW chuck in that the chuck is recessed in the work table, giving greater rigidity to the item holding system.
The CW chuck is usually used on special swarf remover machines, so as to block the item during the work phase with absolute precision and increased tightening torque compared with the lever chuck.
The guide is not the integral type, as in the M or C chuck, but achieved using a gib plate.
In order to have perfect interchangeability of the chuck on board the machine, and item gripper jaws, we carry out final truing and height grinding operations with the chuck assembled and with pressure at the same number of bar required by the customer. This also allows real work conditions to be simulated better.
