| Self centring chucks - SELF-CENTRING LEVER CHUCKS - C RECESSED TWO JAWS | | Self-centring double acting two jaw recessed chucks powered by a pneumatic or hydraulic system.
Description and application of the C chuck.
Chuck C, also known as recessed, differs from M chuck in that the chuck is recessed in the work table, giving greater rigidity to the item holding system.
In order to have perfect interchangeability of the chuck on board the machine, and item gripper jaws, we carry out final truing and height grinding operations with the chuck assembled and with pressure at the same number of bar required by the customer. This also allows real work conditions to be simulated better.
The chuck also provides for scraper and clearance adjustment systems to prevent or limit the ingress of foreign bodies. For machining of particularly difficult material a forced pressurised system can be provided to prevent the entry of dirt through the centre or side plate.
