Description and application of the of the three jaw MOP gripper.
The three jaw gripper is normally used for machining or manipulating round items and moreover in all those cases where three point clamping is required.
The characteristic of the MOP gripper device is that it is very light and has very high number of strokes so as to be able to grip various types of items, this being the reason why it is mostly used in the handling sector.
The body is made completely of aluminium and the carriages slide on hardened inserts so as to limit wear to a minimum as long as possible. In order to have perfect interchangeability of the chuck on board the machine, and item gripper jaws, we carry out final truing and height grinding operations with the chuck assembled and with pressure at the same number of bar required by the customer. This also allows real work conditions to be simulated better.
On the request of the customer a forced pressurised system can be provided to prevent the entry of dirt through the centre or side plate.
